Insured & Certified CATCH Dog Trainer
At Heel & Heal, I believe in creating happy, well-behaved dogs through compassionate, historically backed, fear-free training methods. As the sole trainer, I personally tailor every session to your dog’s unique needs. Whether you’re raising a new puppy or working on improving your dog’s behavior, my positive reinforcement approach helps build trust and strengthens the bond between you and your dog, ensuring long-lasting results and a harmonious relationship.
Some issues that I can help with include basic obedience, jumping, barking, house-training, separation anxiety, pulling on leash, reactivity to dogs, fearfulness, and more.

One-time session to discuss your dog’s behavior(s), history, and your wants and needs for training. Required before booking other services. Available in-person or virtually.

Personalized training sessions conducted in the comfort of your home, tailored to your specific needs.

Heel & Heal Dog Training was born from a journey that began when I adopted my first dog as an adult, Karina. With her by my side, my love for animals blossomed into a passion for training as I immersed myself in learning, eventually earning my dog training certification from CATCH Canine Trainers Academy, graduating with distinction. I also work part-time on the Salt Lake County Animal Services behavior team training shelter dogs and am a professional member of the APDT.
Through hands-on work and volunteering at Utah shelters and three intensive CATCH workshops, I gained invaluable experience with dogs of all temperaments. It was at the Humane Society of Utah that I met my second dog, Sirius, who faced challenges like fearfulness, reactivity, and resource guarding. With patience and dedication, I helped Sirius adjust, and he and Karina shared a strong bond for years before her passing.
These experiences have immensely shaped my training approach. Every dog is unique and training applies to each one differently. The thing that helps the same for all though is strong, trusting relationships between a dog and their caretaker(s) and is one of my main goals to help you build as a trainer.
